Administration of Justice - An update and new study of the selection of judges, retention of election judges, public financing of judicial campaigns, the financing of the judiciary and the election of administrative offices related to the judiciary. This work will utilize the resources of the LWVUS Judicial Independence Project. |

English Language Instruction - A new study of English language services for immigrants and illiterate adults in the state. The first phase of the study will focus on servicesfor people for whom English is the second language and present a concurrence or consensus questions with the LWVUS study of immigration. The second phase of the study will focus on services for adults who speak English as their first language but lack skills in reading or writing English. |
